Located in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn this rooftop garden is the common space of this 12-story residential building. The landscape design creates many different zones and maximizes the 7,000 sf including an outdoor kitchen, chaise lounges for sunning, a custom pergola as well as multiple seating areas. A synthetic lawn provides a low maintenance option for this high traffic garden. Areas of stone are placed throughout the synthetic carpet to aid in drainage and provide visual interest. An intricate irrigation system is installed to maintain the many different locations of planters. Containers planted with trees, shrubs, grasses, perennials and annual color are placed throughout the space to provide shade, color and texture.
